Working on Valentine's night was a sobering experience. It was last minute (my plans!) and I was so gutted that I couldn't spend it with Sadaharu and I'll be honest, I think we really needed it. Holidays at the hospital are never great, but I had a stroke of luck in that my sister rang at five in the morning - I wouldn't of answered if I wasn't asleep - and I got to talk to/babble at (mainly) my baby niece for a while.

I miss Tokyo ^^;;

Back in paediatrics. Kind of glad, even if it's the night shift and so few of the kids have any energy, which means I'm mostly dealing with tired parents who want a nurse for their child NOW and think yelling at me is going to free someone up. I can see where they're coming from, though. They had to practically throw me out of the examination room when I went with Haru-chan to get his nose checked out.

Still! I've discovered all those powerpoint classes haven't been in vain! I rigged it to make shows about the kids. I have about five templates and they're really good - all I have to do is stick in names and they think it's specially about them (D= I really don't have the time to make them about everyone. They took my work internet away and I still have no time.)

So... Kaidou-kun's gettin' some, huh? If that scarf he's obsessively holding tight around his neck is anything to go by ^_~

They're saying in work that if I want to keep working on the desk, I have to get a haircut. Because my "unkempt" appearance is "a poor reflection" on the hospital's "high standards." Well... I suppose it has been getting a bit long. When you can pull it into a ponytail, maybe it is time for a haircut. But why does that one supervisor always have to make it so personal? What's so wrong with looking like Shirley Temple's Hippie Brother?

Screened from Sadaharu )

Siiigh. Life without school is boring. Sadaharu's gone all day and I'm stuck working night shift because they won't change my hours even though I've applied to go back on full time... I'm BORED.

Entertain me.

You know what happens when Sengoku gets bored. D=

So, Christmas heading up the main hospital reception. Nice.

For future reference: NOT a pleasant way to spend Christmas. But I was glad to get home afterward and snuggle up to my Haru-chan. Until... what noise from yonder ceiling breaks? It is a groan, and my kohai is... well... dear god, I don't wanna think about it. No offence, Shinji, but there are things in this world I do not want to hear D=

THINGS SEN WANTS TO HEAR:

1. The sound of a frosty cool beer opening on a hot summer's day.
2. Sadaharu's mumbling in his sleep.
3. The strum of Benvolio's mandolin, beginning the festivities the night before we face the rebel forces at dawn as men.
4. That first characteristic warble of Yuki's voice before he launches into his own special rendition of Ken Lee.
5. The scrapey sizzley burny sound of Kikyo cooking an artery-clanging bacon-and-egg breakfast.
6. Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring, banana phone ~
7. The click of Hello Nurse's impossibly long heels as impossibly long legs make their way down the corridor, calves barely bumping with the faintest noise of skin-colour nylon. It's just the most feminine thing I have ever heard.
8. The sound of Hello Nurse's indignance when she trips over the impossibly long heels and falls flat on her face. How can I help it if karma catches up on her?
9 - 20. Secret Sadaharu noises =P
21. The noise of a lighter clicking open, then that crinkly plastic-rustley singey noise of a cigarette lighting up.
22. Da-da-da-daaaan!

THINGS SEN DOES NOT WANT TO HEAR:

1. Kohai having sex.

You guys, I have presents for you all, you need to come get 'em!

Sorry I haven't been around, everyone... I'm kind of... y'know, not well... like, really not well, like my meds aren't working not well. I have a constant aura (which is what I tend to get befor attacks) so everything bright (computer screens, the tv) is too bright and everything coloured has ... shadows, it's really hard to explain, but it's really getting me down so I haven't been, y'know... around. Sorry, everyone D=

What was that about bad luck? I figure Karma's catching up.

So, how much better can live possibly get? ^_~ I'm being petted and pampered and loved by Sadaharu, I have Taichi not fighting with me (I'm sorry, Taichi, but that's rare) AND my favourite team-mate in the whole wide world (except for Muromachi, Minami and Taichi) has arrived in Osaka ~! Not to mention that Yuki-cookie's never been in better humour!

So!

A meme! And very controversial, too! )

[Voice husky and tired, generic hospital noises in the background]

Uh... is anyone around the Tokyo area... ? I kind of need to borrow train fare home, my rail card is snapped in two so... I'll pay you back soon as I get back to Osaka...?

In other news, I'm perfectly calm.

If I have to sit through one more lecture on work safety, I swear I'm going to scream. I work in a hospital - I know all about work safety - I'm the guy you talk to when you come in with your hand accidentally nailed to a 2 x 4 that tells you nicely to go sit down and then freaks out in the next room because EWOHMYGODGROSS.

Plus, every time someone says safety, my brain automatically goes "S-s-s A-a-a-a F-f-f e-e-e t-t-t y-y-y- you can dance if you want to, you can leave all your friends behind ~ 'cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance well they're no friends of mine." You guys don't need a video for that, do you?

So as you can tell, I'm back at school ~ unlucky! Then again, just one more year and they're setting me loose on the schools of Tokyo. In the meantime, I actually have placement experience this year so I get to go into the actual classroom - score!

Okay. Wow. We had two wii's donated to the hospital as part of some TV Tokyo shounen anime games promotion and now that the chaos and demand has died down for them a bit I actually got to have a go on one today.

It was really awesome until Hello Nurse hit me in the head with the remote (she said it was an accident : | I think she was just pissed that my lucky streak meant I won every game. Can I help that the fates adore me?)

I really feel like I bonded a few days ago with Kisarazu Atsushi. Nee, neighbour, we should go bowling some time!

I'M BACK.

I'm so glad to be home! I missed my bed and my clutter and my shounen jump (animé and manga - I have a subscription so I didn't want to buy it in Kyoto ._. - and I wasn't allowed watch 'stupid boy stuff' after rushing back to the hostel to watch it - I thought girls secretly read this stuff and then paired everyone off!) and kohai and adopted kohai and my BFF and my buchou-fukubuchou and my bathroom and Osaka food (and TOKYO food) but most of all I MISSED MY HARU-CHAN. I might have even missed Fishboy and Perv Sensei. Not really, though.

So when we arrive at the train station in Kyoto they herd us onto a bus and to the middle of the countryside. Do you know how far countryside is from Kyoto? I wasn't even sure I was in Honshu anymore when we stopped, yo. To clarify: Sengoku is a CITY BOY. Melting tarmac, air you can't breathe and rivers in weird colours with rainbow oil slicks? THAT IS MY HOME. Everything was all... green and... gross.

The girls did REALLY WELL, by the way. I was proud of them. Renko managed to get through it without breaking any limbs (hers or other people's) and Sakura's footwork has really cleaned up. Now we just have to survive the new season!
